My name is Jennifer A Kauffman, but most just call me JAK!
I guess you could call me a jak-of-all-trades because I have done so many different things personally and professionally throughout my life. I recently moved to Colorado from San Francisco, where I lived for over 35 years and with that I moved away from my professional career and into a life I enjoy more personally and spiritually.
1
In San Francisco, for my first 15 years, I started my professional career as a graphic artist. Soon I became an art director/producer where I designed and produced corporate events and traveled all over the world with many of the Fortune 100 companies for which San Francisco is known.
1
In the second part of my 15 years in San Francisco, I was a very successful Realtor. I enjoyed working closely with all the buyers and sellers I represented.
1
Then COVID hit, and I decided to get out of the city and move to Colorado, where many of my family members live, including my son Stephen, and grandsons Emmit and Quentin.
1
Once in Colorado, I reinvented myself!
1
I have always had a passion for horses and had a horse of my own in San Francisco...Beau, who I brought with me to Colorado (Beau has passed but you can still see him in my logo on this page).
1
I quickly joined the Colorado horse community and with that I became a therapeutic horse-riding instructor at a ranch called Miracles Therapeutic Riding Center. Then I developed a Youth Riding Program at a ranch called Carlisle Equestrian Center and now I am working at Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center where I work with disabled people of all ages, ride horses.

And now to get back to my art, I got a very part time job working at a gallery in Lafayette CO, called the Collective. At the Collective. I am a substitute gallery docent and help with the gallery and many events. Working at the collective inspired me to get back into the arts and that is where I find myself today.
